We did the same workout like yesterday, just BOOM BOOM and go home. Big Bob joined us today. He did very well. Nobody cried, even Chief didn't swear today. My HR was about 170-180 bpm. Bob's and Chief's about 140-160bpm. So, the intensity was pretty good. It was quick (about 25 min) and very intense. Like in the fire service, sometimes in less than 10 min you can go from 0 to 100mph. So, this kind of functional workout may help your body be prepare for different stress on fire ground. Good stuff.
I survived another session at 'Cezar's House of Pain' last night. Boom Boom is intense. The sled was much harder than it looked, but I felt good that I was able to complete each evolution. I am amazed at how Cezar can craft exercises that are so effective yet all designed around fireground activities. Never in my life have I met someone who can think through our job, and form an exercise for each task. I have never been 'pushed' around by a new guy like this before, but I am hooked! Thanks Cezar-'Chief'RD
Welcome Company 1 Bob T to the "house of pain" hopefully Cezar hasn't scared you away. From what I heard you did well but took a beating. Pass the word and lets make this a group deal. There are many more who should close the laptops and put down the cell phones and try it. Another good job RD ..way to step up and take part on behalf of the shift commanders.
